Safety Factor Explained
Effective force = Theoretical force × η, where η varies by application:
- High speed (V≥500mm/s): η = 0.3
- Low speed (V<500mm/s): η = 0.5
- Static hold: η = 0.7
Bore Sizing Tips
Standard bore series: 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 80, 100 mm
Always include a 30–50% safety margin.
